Can Orthomolecular Psychiatry, and the use of vitamin supplements like Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Omega 3 Fish Oil, and other vitamin supplements help treat and possibly cure schizophrenia? I am concerned with the drugs I am taking to treat my schizophrenic symptoms, and their side effects. I am taking Abilify(Aripiprazole). I am concerned that over time I might develop Tardive dyskinesia, a possible side effect of the drug.
It really hurts to see a Troll, unqualified in the field of Psychiatry giving this so called “professional advice”.

Any experience in using natural remedies with AD / HD?
I have seen some studies using fish oil / omega 3. I am looking for, I guess you could say a plan of action. I add but I will not take medication. Partially because I can not tell you afford it and partly because I think we overmedicated as a whole. Any help would be appreciated. Please put links to sites, if you have them.
My son did much better when we removed the food processed food. In addition, omega-3 has helped too. His psychologist has given us an article on malnutrition and ADHD / ADD. He said that many people with symptoms are absent or low in certain minerals important for brain function. You can get muscle tested to see what your body is required. Neurofeedback also has excellent results that tend to be permanent, but rather pricey.Good luck, I hope you can find something that works for you and does not involve drugs.
