I had my blood work done about a month and a half ago. My doctor has put me on prescription fish oil to help with cholesterol. I was 199 2 months ago for food and exercise is effective, but I was wondering how long about fish oil and food and exercise to take to lower cholesterol. When do I have more blood work done. High cholesterol and heart problems in my family, I just want to do everything I can incase I need to take other drugs if diet and exercise is not enough. I hope the fish oil helps. My dog has skin allergies pretty bad. It got to the point where he pulled his fur owing to the itching. We took him to the vet and he got a shot and medicine while it was much better. My father read somewhere that gives him the fish oil may stop itching that we would not take it to the vet more. He was going to feed my dog his fish oil until I stopped. I read myself that they are different types of fish oil. For example, I can not take the supplements my father was taken because I'm pregnant, so I have to make different. Someone Has he heard of giving fish oil for dogs? If yes, are they specially pills for dogs? I would not mind trying to save a little money but I'm not going to give my dog supplements our own medicine cabinet without first knowing.
