Omega 3 and alert Questions?
-Omega 3 fatty acids should be used with caution by people who bruise easily, have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medication such as warfarin (Coumadin) or clopidogrel (Plavix), because the quantities Excessive omega-3 can cause bleeding. In fact, people who eat more than three grams of omega-3 fatty acids per day (equivalent 3 servings of fish per day) may be an increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke, a potentially fatal disease in which an artery in the brain leaks or ruptures. Fish oil can cause flatulence, bloating, belching, and diarrhea. Time-release preparations may reduce these side effects, however. My question is, I was on 4GS flaxseed and fish oil for 5 or 6 months and I also lately been easy bruising could that mean im now at risk? Or that the bad side effects of this to happen, I must be on the oil Fish and flax seed for years? Or not?
Can happen in a few days. Just reduce the dose.
