Vs krill oil fish – oil which is really better?

This article looks at VS krill oil fish oil. I have published articles regarding the difference between supplements of flaxseed and those coming from the sea. But I will touch only briefly.

These supplements are promoted by Omega-3 fatty acids they contain and are expected to be accompanied by many health benefits. There are different types of Omega-3.

The three types that we know most are ALA, DHA and EPA. For those who care, long names are Alpha linolenic acid, Docosahexaenoic and Eicosapentaenoic Acid. When you see the term of linolenic acid, it usually designates the type “alpha”, although there are others.

Seeds of flax and all other sources vegan except for certain species of marine algae contain only ALA, which is not believed to provide health benefits. It is the DHA and EPA that contribute to the health of the cardiovascular system, nervous system, digestive system and virtually all parts of the body.

When you compare fish oil VS krill oil, they both contain DHA and EPA. The difference lies in what extent.

Brands vary. Supplement label must always indicate a minimum of Omega-3 total provided by each capsule, as well as the quantity of DHA and EPA provides each capsule.

In General, krill oil contains a lower concentration of total Omega-3. It provides less DHA and EPA than equivalent dose oil fish.

For example, one of the leader of krill oil brands is a 1000 mg capsule. It provides only 130 mg omega3s. The contents of the EPA is 80 mg and DHA content is 40 mg.

One of the best brands of total supply of 500 mg, 280 mg of DHA fish oil and 120 mg of EPA. It provides also 50 mg of DPA in the omega3 believes contribute to heart health across the Eskimos of Greenland.

One of the claimed benefits of krill has to do with the amount of traces of astaxanthin contained therein. Astaxanthin is a unique antioxidant sometimes hailed in circles anti-aging as the proverbial fountain of youth. One of the premium fish oil supplements offers more astaxanthin as krill and the price is more affordable too.

The winner must be clear at this time, but there is one point more to be done before closing. Whales, penguins and other native species to Antarctica rely on krill to survive. It is the principal form of food.

Fishing practices used to capture tiny shrimp-like crustaceans are inaccurate and ineffective. There is no net which does not damage the catch. Much of the liquid nutrients contained in the creatures are lost because they are crowded on the net.

Here is seen as the cornerstone for the survival of the Antarctic ecosystem which is essential to life on Earth. It is already threatened by global warming and the increase in the acidity of ocean waters. It is not necessary for businesses more to threaten the survival of the population by supplements thereof.

What is the final score in the game of krill oil VS fish oil? I think you have the answer.
